It is with great sadness that the committee announce the passing of Kay Carman, past Chairman and Vice President of the CAA.
Kay would want to be remembered as bright, bubbly and a consumate professional at her job. She was proud of her contribution to the Royal Variety Charity as Queen Ratling for three years and, of course, for her enormous contribution to the CAA. It is in tribute to her work with these organisations she was awarded a BEM in the King’s Honours list.
As you may know Kay had been in recovery since early this year following a major stroke. However, she would not want us to dwell on the last nine months of her life. Compromise was not something she tolerated either professionally or personally. She is finally reunited with her beloved and much-missed Howard. May she rest in peace.
